Are you on maternity or parental leave, long-term sick leave, or caring for someone in such circumstances, and therefore you have taken a break from research activities? If so, the grant competition for researchers returning after a career break is aimed at you.
The seminar held on 15 September will focus on different aspects of the internal call Returns to Charles University. Participants will get acquainted with the conditions and timeline of the call – for example, who can apply, what kinds of activities can be supported (such as size of the support team, mandatory involvement of a mentor, care allowance, mobility of the principal investigator, or opportunities for further training), and expected outputs. Participants will also learn how the cooperation with faculty will work, how to submit your grant application in the IS Veda system, and a few practical tips on what to avoid when writing your application.
Registration for 15 September – Conditions of the call and tips for applicants
The seminar held on 16 September will cover various aspects of open science, particularly in relation to the requirements of grants from the OP JAK call Returns to Charles University. Participants will be introduced to the concept of open science and the reasons behind its growing importance. The seminar will then cover open access to research results, research data management, and conclude with an overview of other open science practices such as preprint publication, project preregistration, and citizen science. The seminar will also provide participants with information about available support at Charles University and there will be room for discussion and questions.
